What is Melanotan 2?
Melanotan 2 is a melanocyte stimulating peptide that work by expanding existing melanocytes (pigment cells) to increase the body's ability to tan naturally without the need for fake tan. it usually taken as an injection or via nasal spray. Melanotan 2 has a half-life of 24-36 hours in the body meaning you do not need to take it every day. whilst you are building up to the colour you want to achieve, using it every second day is advised. once you've achieved the colour you desire you can then drop down to once or twice a week simply to maintain the colour. whilst Melanotan 2 has been around for 20 years, the studies on its long-term use are limited. this is not a TGA approved product and is considered for research only.
